Well, I’m not dead, I just haven’t had much time to paint, and this Devastator Squad is taking forever to finish. I’ve pretty much finished all the bolter wielding marines, so I will post a couple of them up, but I should have the full squad done in a week to two weeks.  And I finally figured out how to use my camera!

Well, I’ve started in on my Devastator Squad, equipped with 4 plasma cannons. I will update my work here, but this is my first WIP Devastator.

Well, my second tactical squad needed a drop pod to get those meltaguns to use, so I decided to try my hand at scratchbuilding one. I’m still deciding if I want to add more to it, but here is the Adepticon Approved model I have made.

Well, I am just finishing up my second tactical squad, which touts double meltaguns. Here are the first few pictures.

Well, I hated the Callidus Assassin model from Games Workshop, so I decided to scratch build my own. The components are a Wood Elf head, Eldar Guardian torso, Dark Eldar arms and pistol, High Elf sword and cape, and Dark Elf Witch Elf legs. And of course green stuff. I did my first attempt at a bubbly lava base, but the pictures didn’t come out as bright as I would like. I will try to get better pictures up later. Anyways, here is the model:

I tried a new technique for painting vehicles in order to get a suitably weathered effect on my Rhino.  As my army is based on the planet of Nocturne, I figured the Rhino would have soot stains instead of mud.  I also added paint chips and rust.

Finished up my Assault Terminator Squad, I took a long time to paint these guys.  All of them have Lightning Claws because I wanted to give the leaders of the squads the thunder hammers/power fists in my army.  Thus, my Chaplain who will lead them has the thunder hammer.  Plus, a full squad of thunder hammers and storm shields is tactically asking to lose.

Finished painting my Terminator Chaplain. There are some minor conversions on this model that I feel came out pretty well. I really struggled turning this model into a Salamander Chaplain, rather than the stock Chaplain which looks Black Templarish. I greenstuffed scales on the front litany, turn the chalices into burning brazers, added a mini shrine to the top of his armor, replaced his storm bolter with a thunder hammer (hand swap), and added the Malus Darkblade cloak to his back to represent his Salamander (Adamantium) Mantle.

Well, I finished 3 more tactical marines, two of which have flamers! Every marine in this flamer squad with have a flame motif on the right shoulder.

Just finished my veteran sergeant for my first tactical squad. The entire army will feature the hand painted Salamander logo.
